You’re training hard. But are you working on the right things?

1:1 coaching for climbers who want to understand what is actually holding them back, develop the physical qualities they need, and turn their ability into better performance on rock.

Built around your climbing, your goals and the life you actually have.

More effort isn’t always the answer.

Better direction is.

This might sound familiar...

  • You’re getting stronger, but your outdoor grade isn’t changing.

  • You can do the moves but struggle to link the route.

  • You train consistently but aren’t sure what deserves your attention.

  • You climb much better indoors than you perform outside.

  • You’ve spent session after session on a project and you’re no longer sure what’s actually stopping you from sending it.

Physical training is a core part of the coaching. Strength, power, endurance and capacity are developed through a personalised programme built around your goals, lifestyle, recovery and available training time. The plan is continually reviewed and adjusted as your climbing changes.

Make your outdoor climbing count

During performance phases, training doesn’t disappear - its purpose changes. Volume is reduced, key physical qualities are maintained and fatigue is managed carefully so your best energy is available for projects, trips and quality days on rock.

Alongside this, coaching can focus on beta, redpoint tactics, session structure, weather windows, recovery and understanding why attempts are breaking down.

Who this is for

Climbers who train hard but feel their results don't reflect their ability.

Climbers who have plateaued and aren’t sure whether strength, movement, tactics or execution is really responsible.

Climbers with an outdoor project or goal they want to get more from.

Climbers who want effective training that fits around real life and time on rock - not the other way around.

You don't need to be climbing at an elite level. Coaching is built around your current ability, the climbing that matters to you, and what meaningful progress looks like for you.

Training built around you

A good programme has to work for the person doing it. I take time to understand your work, recovery, training facilities, climbing schedule and the type of climbing you actually enjoy, then build the training around those realities rather than expecting your life to revolve around the plan.

HOW IT WORKS

We build a clear picture of your climbing, physical capacity, goals, lifestyle and current approach.

We identify the key factors limiting your performance and decide what deserves the most attention.

We build a personalised plan combining physical training, movement, tactics, mindset and recovery.

We review what is happening, adjust the plan and keep progressing as your needs change.

Client Results

Nick - First 13d trad lead

Thought: Physically prepared, but pressure could make hard attempts unravel.

Found: Uncertainty around gear, pacing and the full lead was disrupting execution.

Changed: Refined placements and pacing, reduced uncertainty and rehearsed the complete lead.

Happened: Sent City Park (5.13d) and came away with much greater confidence in what was possible.

Duncan - First 7b+

Thought: Work made it difficult to carry his fitness consistently into the outdoor season.

Found: More volume wasn’t the answer - he needed realistic structure and project-specific preparation.

Changed: Used focused board climbing, specific power endurance and a small number of high-quality project sessions.

Happened: Stayed consistent through a demanding summer and sent Appliance of Violence (7b+).

Patryk - Calm Execution

Thought: Fear and anxiety seemed to be holding back his lead climbing.

Found: Under pressure, his breathing stopped and movement became tense, reactive and less accurate.

Changed: Worked on breathing, observation and commitment, while simplifying the plan when pressure began building.

Happened: Became significantly calmer and more decisive on lead, with much greater confidence and commitment.
